Request a Tutor for Class Visits and Workshops

Faculty may request a Writing Tutor visit their class/program or host a class/group of up to 20 students in the Rowan Writing Center. Accommodations of up to 38 students may be possible via reservation of Campbell Library computer lab (lab 138). You may request a tutor visit by using the form below or by emailing director Celeste Del Russo at delrusso@rowan.edu.

Please include the class/department, class size, class meeting time, location, requested date(s), second choice date(s) and the requested service

*Note: tutors can co-facilitate meetings and workshops but the instructor is still required to be present and active in the class's instruction and management.

Writing Center tutors can...
  • Deliver a Writing Center Information Session presentation (10-20 minutes)
    • What the Writing Center is
    • Services provided by the Writing Center
    • How to make an account and schedule appointments
  • Provide in-class, small-group assistance on writing assignments (15-60 minutes)
  • Co-facilitate workshops on specific writing topics (e.g., revision/peer review, genre writing, crafting thesis statements, annotated bibliographies, etc.)
